Cathal Berry TD stands with Retained Firefighters
Glad to stand with and support Retained Firefighters outside Leinster House. They are invaluable to our communities but are underpaid and overworked.
Without their hard work and dedication to the Fire Service, there would be devastating impacts on the safety of local towns and villages. Our communities depend on them but many of these Retained personnel are overworked, make huge personal sacrifices to be on standby and often cannot even take annual leave.
Government must provide meaningful supports for the Retained Firefighters to improve pay and conditions and resolve this dispute.
