Cathal’s Priorities
I want to work for you. We need to improve our Health Service, end the Housing Crisis, protect the environment and support our Students and Military Families. Having spent the best part of the last three decades working in different parts of the public, private, and voluntary sectors, I know how to find solutions and get things done.
Tackle dereliction and promote the use of one-off rural housing, modular homes and international construction companies to help provide urgently needed affordable homes.
Immediate increase in rent tax credit.
Increased funding for primary care, mental health and disability services. Better supports for carers.
- More school buildings desperately needed in Co. Kildare and a proper functioning school bus system.
- Increased resourcing of childcare, early education and special education.
- Abolish university fees.
More supports for farmers, small businesses and primary producers. Investment in public transport and sports & recreational facilities.
Significantly improve law & order and homeland security by better resourcing An Garda Siochána and our Defence Forces.
