Reserve Defence Forces – Foreign Affairs & Defence Committee Tuesday October 5th
Good to have members of RDFRA before the Foreign Affairs & Defence Committee this evening to discuss a range of issues affecting the Reserve Defence Force and establish how we can address them.
I raised three points with the delegation, I’ve included the response below –
Asked when the first member of the RDF is expected to deploy overseas, in light of the legislation that will be signed by the president in the next couple of weeks allowing members to deploy operationally overseas. Raised the possibility of establishing an Air Corp Reserve. Highlighted the importance of introducing employment protection measures for members who will serve overseas in future.
