Great news for Kildare commuters!
Delighted to see after a lot of campaigning from various local groups, fairer fares have finally been delivered for Newbridge and Kildare Town.
Once Leap Card validators are installed, a ticket which was previously €10.85 from Newbridge to Dublin Heuston is now reduced to €6.
Similarly in Kildare town, once validators are installed, tickets will be reduced from €11.95 to €7.50.
This is certainly a welcomed reduction in costs for commuters which is long overdue. I will continue to raise this issue with relevant Minsisters and advocate for further reductions to be introduced in other stations in the constituency including Monastervin, Portarlington and Athy.
