While an Army Nursing Service is a vital component of any military, the Defence Forces have not been allowed to hire a nurse since 1990. Incredible really.
It doesn’t have to be this way of course. Glad that Minister Coveney has committed to speeding up the Nursing Review. Let’s get decisions made and nurses hired in order to better medically support our troops in the field.
