I got the opportunity to question the Minister for Climate Action, Communications Networks and Transport, Eamon Ryan.

I questioned the Minister in relation to:

The ability Ireland has to prevent and protect itself from cyberattack.

The National Cyber Security Strategy and the capacity review that is taking place there at the moment.

– When the review is likely to be completed?
– Will the government commit to publishing the review?
– Will the government commit to implementing the recommendations of the review?

On the Programme for Government, there was a specific reference of utilising the potential and important role of the Defence Forces in this regard.

– How will the relationship between this Department and the Defence Forces evolve and develop over the lifetime of this government?
