New bridge for Newbridge

Great news for Newbridge! I very much welcome the news that planning permission has been granted for a new bridge for Newbridge. I, along with other public representatives and advocates, have raised this issue on numerous occasions over the last number of years locally and with Government Ministers, so I am glad that there is finally some positive advancements.

This will help to alleviate traffic and congestion in the town, which has been a major issue for a long time now. Traffic in Newbridge has gotten consistently worse over time, and we have been advocating for a second crossing over the Liffey for years now.

After many years of campaigning, it’s vital that this infrastructure is delivered for the people of Newbridge as soon as possible. Congratulations to everyone involved who worked hard to get this over the line.
