Weekly Update
Hi Everyone, I hope you are keeping well. Just sharing some of the things myself and the team have been up to this week across the constituency and in Leinster House –
Attended the Centenary of the handover of the Curragh Camp. Delighted to welcome ONE veterans to Leinster House to discuss veteran mental health. Spoke to Carol Coleman on RTE’s This Week show about the urgent need for increased spending on defence in Ireland. Stood in support with medical scientists at Naas General Hospital to highlight the need for equal pay for equal work. Raised the topic of microgeneration of energy with the Taoiseach in the Dáil. Spoke to Aidan Barry on Midlands 103 about the current situation in Ukraine and the poor pay and conditions experienced by members of the Defence Forces. Spoke in relation to the Garda Compensation Bill and the excellent work carried out by An Garda Síochana on a daily basis. Attended the Kildare Volunteers Ceremony in The Keadeen Hotel to recognise the fantastic work done by volunteers across the county. Myself and my team met with and assisted various constituents in relation to issues of concern for them in our Newbridge & Portarlington Constituency offices.As always, don’t hesitate to get in contact with me here or a member of the team in our constituency offices if we can assist you with any issues.
