Thurs, 11 June 2020 | Covid-19 (Brexit): Statements

I got the opportunity to question Minister Helen McEntee in relation to Brexit negotiations. I raised concerns regarding:

The urgent manpower crisis in the Naval Service and the fact that two Naval ships, approximately one quarter of the fleet, are tied up in the harbour and are unable to be put to sea due to the lack of personnel.

Securing an effective UK land bridge and identifying direct shipping routes and capacity from Ireland to Continental Europe.

Development that has taken place to get our ports and airports ready for Brexit and plans that are in place for the next 7 months to ensure that we are ready by January 1st next year.
