New testing criteria has been introduced for COVID-19.

Patients will now need to meet revised criteria to qualify for testing.

Patients must now display:

A fever and at least one other symptom (like a cough OR shortness of breath) and also must fall into a priority group before being referred for testing.

Priority groups include:

* Close contacts of confirmed cases
* Health care staff
* Vulnerable groups

Those who have already been swabbed will still receive results.

Those who already have an appointment should keep their appointment.

However, those who are waiting for an appointment are asked to recontact their GP if they fall under the new testing criteria. Patients will then be referred for testing.
