€255,000 Investment for Portarlington in Active Travel Grants

The NTA has allocated €255,000 in funding today to Laois & Offaly County Council for active cycling and walking infrastructure.

Portarlington Active Travel Scheme – €180,000

R419 Edenderry Rd, Portarlington – Footpath Scheme – €75,000

Developing high quality walking and cycling facilities will encourage more people to switch to active travel. This funding will hopefully make walking and cycling a more attractive, safe and accessible option for everyone in the town of Portarlington and the surrounding areas.
