Hi Everyone, it was another busy and productive week in Leinster House and around the constituency last week. Here are some of the things that myself & the team have been up to –
Spoke to the RDFRA delegation that was before the Foreign Affairs & Defence committee about issues facing the Reserve Defence Force and establish how best we can address them. Spoke in the Dáil chamber about the Energy Crisis. Leaders Questions – highlighted the lack of affordable housing and housing mix in the country at the moment with Minister for Housing, Darragh O’Brien. Also spoke about military families on social housing lists. Virtually attended the Portarlington Sustainability Meeting. Spoke to the Minister for Social Protection about the Pandemic Unemployment Payment. Assisted various constituents with issues of concern for them in the Portarlington & Newbridge constituency offices. Visited the Naval Base in Cork on Friday with members of the Foreign Affairs & Defence committee to see first-hand the major issues affecting the Irish Naval Service & examine how best to resolve it. Attended the 33rd Gerard Manley Hopkins Festival in Newbridge – great to be back at live events in the constituency!As alway, don’t hesitate to get in contact with me here or a member of the team in our constituency offices if we can assist you with any issues.
